Doug has been teaching improv, acting, and sketch writing to students of all ages regularly for well over a decade. He is known for giving direct feedback at both the group and individual level, while always looking to bring out the passion that drew improvisers to their craft in the first place. Students of Doug include members of Jet City Improv, Unexpected Productions, ComedySportz Seattle,  Seattle Experimental Theater, Split Second Improv, as well as cast members of various scripted and improvised shows throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Let's pull back the curtain on the casting process . Local director Douglas Willott guides you through what directors look for, ways to stand out, how to be supportive and connect with people you've never played with before, and more.

We'll discuss the difference between film and stage auditions, as well as ways to shape your audition to various standard improvised formats.
The workshop will include on stage experience and feedback.

Bring your headshot and resume, and he'll happily give you direct feedback on the materials you bring with you to auditions.

Bonus: He'll tell you the biggest mistakes he's seen at auditions, as well as the biggest he's personally made.
